3 Simple Steps To A Successful Online Business

When I got started online the end of December in 2010 I had NO Idea what I was getting myself into.

I actually didn’t even know how to open e-mails at the time..

Oh Yeh I have come a long way………..

So are you someone who is trying to work your online business from the comfort of your own home?

Well then, in order to accomplish this you do have to become very disciplined and you had better have yourself a game plan.

I do know that there will be day’s you wake up with resistance, you just don’t feel today is the day!

Let’s talk about resistance here for a moment.

These are any thoughts that are going to stop you from going for it.

You tell yourself, I will do this later!
Building A Successful Online Business 1
We come up with a bunch of things we could do other than work on our online business.

When this happens, you need to take a step back and ask yourself a few questions.

What’s your dream?

Why do you want this so badly?

Let this come to you, now go and get it, this will help to shift your thinking around.

Look at your vision, what does your future look like if this online business of yours takes off?

Below is my game plan that I put together and it has really been helping me stay focused so far this year.

I have created an instant habit!

Oh yeh it is my motivator, one which I have pre-decided and scheduled to help me reach my goals.

3 Simple Steps To A Successful Online Business

1. Find a few hours that you can commit to 5 days a week.

Yep, that’s it.

Now get out you calendar and schedule this right now.

2. Next I want you to get out a piece of paper and write 3 small action steps that are going to help you get closer to building that successful online business you are dreaming about.

You want to make these Income Producing Activities.

Here are just a few examples for you to use.

Calling prospects
Signing up new prospects
Training new prospects
Writing up an ad
Placing ads
Posting your Blog
Getting listings up on e-Bay, Amazon, Bonanza

You can also take a large task and break it down into small doable actions.

3. Get yourself a timer!
How long will it take you to accomplish the first action?
Ready-> I set my timer for 1 hour increments!

Schedule it, the second, schedule it, and the last one, schedule it.

You have your timer set for an hour and you have your tasks set, so now it is time to take action.

That is it, by just using this simple plan you are showing up in your online business with a game plan and showing up matters.

It is a proven fact this works, when you show up with great consistency on a daily basis with a plan in place your chances of building a successful online business are much greater.

Give yourself permission to show up, the sooner in the day, the better, then the rest of your day will go by like a breeze.

This is now your hour of power.
This is the system that I am using each and everyday.

My Online Game Plan!

Start to play big on your dream!

Here is what playing big means, small steps, small wins, any actions that are moving you forward on your building your successful online business.

Multiple things will happen if you start taking consistent massive action.

This is a simple process to help you reach your goals that will bring in big results in your online business.

Do you really want it?

Than go ahead and plan 3 simple actions, 5 days a week, make sure to time and track them.

    Hey Chery,

I have a lot of friends who would never do what I do because they aren’t disciplined enough. They would be the one going shopping or watching TV or maybe washing clothes or always finding something they could be doing around the house.

I honestly believe though that if someone REALLY wanted something different for themselves then they would go above and beyond to learn.

It does take discipline to work from home and the plan you’ve mapped out here is excellent. I would hope that anyone eager to take this on will absorb everything you have to share and then get to work. This is achievable.

Thank you Chery and enjoy your week. Stay warm.

    Hi Chery

These are not only 3 easy steps to run an online business but amazing time management tips to never lag while doing any kind of task.

Online world is quite faster than the offline world so here delay has chain effect and a thing missed once could never be gotten again and one has to get ready for another thing.

Many thanks for sharing these very easy but important steps.

Have a great rest of the week.

Hello Mi Muba, Time management is HUGE Huh? We only have so many hours in a day and if we are not careful they can slip away and the next thing we know another day is upon us and we have nothing accomplished.

So yes it is important to have a game plan in place that works. Thank you so much for your visit, your awesome comment and for sharing my friend, I do appreciate it.. Chery :))

    Hi Chery,

Excellent game plan. I like it because I’m a true minimalist. I always teach folks to do less, not more.

Most people I’ve worked with are overwhelmed because there’s just too much information out there, and too many 7 step plans. Then they try doing some of them and they get all twisted and turned with a million to-do’s on their check list, with no clear rhyme nor reason (what the folks in the industry like to call “clarity”).

The less you do, though, the more you can accomplish and you’ve laid out a perfect plan here.

    Love it gal!

PS: check out the online “pomodoro timer” (free)… it keeps you on track… sweet.

Hello Donna, I do use a plain old kitchen timer and it sits right here on my desk. I am going to go and check out your timer though for when I am on the road or perhaps for when the one I have quits on me LOL

Happy to see that you like my Game Plan, it sure is working out great for me.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing my friend. Always nice to see you here..

Hello Monna, Using a timer really does help to get things done in a shorter time. Not sure as to why, all I know is that it works. I know your time here online is limited and I do appreciate you taking the time to visit, comment and share..

Hello And Welcome to my blog Stella, I do agree it is super easy to over complicate things, Been there done that and could write the book.. This is a plan I put into place this year and I am getting so much more accomplished, then when I was just winging it so to say..

I am so happy to see that you got some value here today! Thanks for stopping by and adding to the conversation, I do hope to see more of you here..

    Chery,

Discipline and never saying I will do it later is the key to woring at home.

I used to be so disciplined, then I got discouraged and kind of lost sight of where I was going. At that time I also lost my discipline.

This year however I am really working on being disciplined and doing what I have agreed with myself to do.

I love working at home and would love to do it full time but I have really got to stick with my plan. The thing I know is the more I stick with it the easier it will be.

I have done it before so I know what it takes and think I am doing really well so far.

It also helps to really love what you are doing and have some really clear dreams.

Great information and instructions on what it takes to work at home.

Very true. In cyberworld the difference between growing a lemon and growing a peach is planning. If Big Brother Timer watches that you do not stray off into any tempting virtual alleys, so much better.

Big dreams come true in small steps and when you take those steps don’t be afraid to rush in where angels fear to tread. Go where your plan takes you. Great blog.

    Hi Chery,

Now let’s see – would I rather do housework, or blog? LOL blog every time!!

However, that’s a really good idea to use a timer. I don’t find it difficult to get STARTED working on my business, but I sometimes drift on longer than I should – and I’m not sure it’s always very productive when it goes on :-(

    Hi Chery,

Thanks for sharing your 3-step online business game plan.

I’ve heard many other successful people say essentially the same thing you’ve talked about in this post: “using this simple plan you are showing up in your online business with a game plan and showing up matters…”

And, your plan is heavy on showing up & ‘working’.
    Thanks,

I’m very disciplined when I’m working on a project for others but not so much doing things for myself. My focus is then laser targeted :-) I do put the time in and don’t get distracted by non work matters but still find it easy to get sidetracked when I’m online. Thankfully I am improving and working more on what’s the most important.

Your post is a good reminder to me. Thanks Chery.

And while it is not easy it is doable, especially if yo have a mentor

You forgot some important don’t do’s like don’t sign up for anyone else’s email list

Don’t do anything that is not in your plan LOL!

Wish I’d followed that simple plan but too late for me now!

    Hey Chery,

Thanks for sharing. Great motivation and “game plan. It is very easy to “talk yourself out of working” but it is only going to hurt you and no one else..
Thank you. Have a great day ahead !

    Hi Chery!

Great tips you are giving here! 😀

They are simple, yet very powerful – if taken very seriously!

I like what you said there, “you have to just Show Up!”

I heard that before, from a top earner in this industry.

You need to SHOW UP to make your dreams a reality!

A lot of people have goals and desires, but they fail to show up every day and every week – to do whatever it takes. This is so true – and a reason why most people fail here.

It is very important to learn the right knowledge and just show up! 😉

    Awesome value here, Chery!

    Keep up the great work!

    Have a fantastic week!

Hi there Chery, great blog post! It’s always best to keep things simple which is pretty much what you did. When things are simple, it means that anyone can make it happen, not just a selected few.

It’s really just about dedicating your time and taking action on the things that you know will produce the results you’re looking for. It sure beats spending all day working on multiple things that don’t work.

Thanks for sharing. Great post with lots of value. Keep it up!

Hi Chery. That’s excellent advice. My best time to get things done on my online business is first thing in the morning before everyone gets up and I have to get into taking care of the kids and their home school work. I sometimes get some extra time in the evening after everyone has settled down at the end of the day. My task list for the day stays permanently on my desktop in an electronic sticky-note. I’ve done it this way for a few years and it works for me.
