Become A Successful Online Entrepreneur With These Productivity Tips

Successful Online Entrepreneur

There is really only one reason why you are not a successful online entrepreneur and that is because you do not have a game plan ready for you to take action on.

Become A Successful Online Entrepreneur

Today I am going to give you 12 productivity tips that will hopefully be a huge game changer for you, but I am going to tell you they will only work if you actually take them and apply them to your online business.

Productivity Tips to Help You Become A Successful Online Entrepreneur

If you are looking to become a successful online entrepreneur then productivity is really the meat and potatoes to creating any success online at all.

So Let’s Get Started Here….

1. You have to have a game plan to become a successful online entrepreneur or to have any success with anything really.

Failure To Plan Is Planning To Fail.

2. Ninety percent of your time must be spent on income producing activities if you are to become a successful online entrepreneur.

For example writing or producing content, videos, driving traffic, following up with your prospects.

These are you money making activities. Driving traffic and converting sales is the only way you are going to become a successful online entrepreneur.

3. Create a routine, actually get yourself a scheduler, a note book will even work you need to schedule everything if you truly do want to become a successful online entrepreneur.

Game Plan To Become A Successful Online Entrepreneur

You need to schedule a start time and a finish time, be sure to write it down.

4. This little trick I just learned from my Girl Friend Lesly Federici she had me get a timer last month and WOW I was shocked at how this technique worked for me.

Get yourself a timer and use it, I want you put this into your schedule, you are going to work a solid 50 minutes on each task from here on out.

Set This Timer For 50 Minutes.

5. A successful online entrepreneur needs to take a 10 minute break every hour, so you have your timer right and you just worked a solid 50 minutes, now go ahead and set this for another 10 minutes, take time to get some fresh air, a drink, stretch THEN get back to work.

Distractions Are The Biggest Killer For A Successful Online Entrepreneur

6. Do not let this happen, you have an answering service correct?

Then Use It!

If someone is calling you on Skype or your FaceBook friend needs a question answered, you are not to get off of the task at hand.

You have scheduled this right?

This is something that does need to be done but you need to focus on one task at a time.

7. If want to become a successful online entrepreneur you need to get this one through to your brain, e-mails are another killer of productivity.

E-mails do not make you money.

I am not saying that you shouldn’t check your e-mails because we all need to do this.

My suggestion would be to schedule this first thing in the morning and then again at the end of your day, and no more then 30 minutes, that should be more than enough time.

Schedule it and do not open up your e-mail again, I’m telling you if you can get out of this habit you will become a successful online entrepreneur faster than you ever thought possible.

8. Muti-tasking is not efficient to become a successful online entrepreneur!

So Do Not Get In This Habit

                   And

If You Have Been Doing This…

        IT IS TIME TO STOP..

Work on one project if you don’t finish it with in your scheduled time then schedule time the next day to finish this up.

9. You do need to take some time each day for mindset.

My suggestion is to schedule mindset before marketing or schedule this with your exercise, listen to an MP3 while walking but you do need to have some sort of personal development each and every day.

10. Training is necessary to become a successful online entrepreneur, you need to learn something new everyday, either read a book or attend some sort of a training, you never want to stop learning.

11. I talked briefly about exercising above when I told you to put this together with you mindset schedule, but you do need to get some form of exercise each day.

To become a successful online entrepreneur you need to have energy, so be sure to schedule time for exercise.

12. Always schedule time for friends and family, having a balanced life is necessary to become a successful online entrepreneur.

Great tips Chery! I use a lot of those tips already by learning about them over the years.

Prioritizing is definitely my BIGGEST witness and that hurts my productivity the most. I find it REALLY really hard. I just hope I could get better at it soon.

    Hi Chery,

My favorite tip is #10 because training is necessary to have an online business. From digital trainings to one on one coaching, I find that this sky rockets your business and it is worth the investment. Have done it myself and seen the effects and will tell everyone that it is a must have!

The rest are all great but that one is my passion!

Wonderful tips Chery! I must admit I’m rather anal when it comes to planning and definitely have my “system.” For the most part I follow similar strategies to the ones you’ve outlined, with the exception of spending 90% of my time on money making activities. Of course to some degree it depends on your definition of money making activities. For example as an author, artist and now in the process of creating products for my new online gift shop a fair amount of my time has to be spent on research, design and creative activities. I suppose ultimately those activities could be classified as contributing to making money, but my business background tells me it leans more toward R&D (research and development). Regardless, it all contributes to the success of the business and that’s what really counts. Thanks for the great tips and inspiration!

    Very great tips Chery!
I love it! I absolutely can use your 12 productivity tips :) I do often get distracted or side tracked when I should be working! You are so right, emailing or messaging is not making me money. The 50 minute and 10 minute break tip is definitely what I will be doing from now on. Also more note taking and scheduling so I can be better organized with things. Thank you very much for sharing this blog I would love to hear more tips on this topic! 😀

Hello Victoria. I am so happy to see that you are going to be using my productivity tips, I would love to hear how this goes for you my friend. Thanks for adding to the conversation here today.. Chery :))

    Hi Chery,

Had to come back after thinking about this for a while. Using a timer is a wonderful way to get more productive. Our attention span is usually 50 minutes. Taking a 10 minute break when that timer goes off and giving yourself the time to stretch, fetch some water or a healthy snack is a great thing to do.

When it comes to time management I’m big on this because it keeps our minds fresh and clear.

    Great tips , Chery
I know the timer because it is Lesly’s favorite.
Finally, I think I have to get me one :)
Exercise is important as well, even if it is a walk.
Sitting in front of the computer makes it necessary.
    Good tips, thank you
    Enjoy your time in Florida

Hello Erika, You do need to get that timer Girl, the first week I picked one up I was so shocked at the amount of work I got done. Be sure to let me know how this works for you..

Wowsy I sure did enjoy my time in Florida and cannot believe I am back home already HEHE Vacationing is so much fun.. Thanks for stopping by and for your Awesome comment.. Chery :))

  11. says

    Chery,
I agree that it is important to have a game plan and to schedule time to complete tasks instead of letting yourself be interrupted by phone calls, emails, skype, etc. I know a lot of people set timers but somehow I don’t like that idea. My creativity seems to happen in spurts. When I am ready to write an article or blog post, I just do it. When I am creating a power point, I focus on it and do it, however long it may take. Sometimes I plan to spend only a few minutes on a task but then the technology has a glitch and it takes much longer. A timer would frustrate me. I do check my emails often because I have clients asking for appointments, people I am interviewing or being interviewed by on a radio or web site, and some new opportunities or webinars to attend. And it feels so good to clear out my emails so that they don’t pile up and become unwieldy.

Not every tip works for everyone but these are certainly valuable to consider.

    Warmly,

    Dr. Erica

I do think it is important to though as you have also stated to have a game plan in place. Thanks for sharing and Happy Womens Day.. Chery :))

    Hi Chery,

Great tips and I hope you had a wonderful vacation. I believe I will share this post in my newsletter that will go out on Tuesday, March 10. I know my readers will enjoy reading and using your tips.

    Have a great day.

You’ve given many great ways to make yourself more productive, Chery.

I think the most important thing is to make sure a full 90% of your time and effort is “spent on income producing activities.”

Without that as your mantra, productivity has little purpose.

Nice guidelines for all of us to follow, all of the time.

Hello David, I also agree that being busy is one thing, but being productive busy is what your goal needs to be. I like your suggestion of being productive 90% of the time. Thanks for sharing.. Chery :))
