Become More Generous And Give Freely Of Your Time

Become More Generous

What do you think about this statement-Become More Generous?

We all have so much to give, Correct?

I got up this morning and was getting ready to get started on a new post here on my blog.

I have been taking notes all week and was ready to share a roundup post, but then this statement came to mind “Become More Generous!”

I just couldn’t concentrate on this roundup post something was pulling me in a different direction.

Monna1

Well the first thing that came to my mind was a conversation I had met Monna Ellithorpe the night before.

I met online a few years back and have been friends ever since.

Well This gal Really opened my eyes to a number of things and how to become more generous was definitely one of them.

You see she is one gal who is so generous with her time, we were chatting on Facebook and I asked her if she would do me a favor.

She said of course, went and opted into my Website to check on things for me. Well needless to say not everything was working as I had hoped.

Become More Generous By Giving Of Yourself

Well this was late on Friday evening and Monna stated she would be willing to get on skype and see what’s going on in the morning.

Did she ask me for money?

Of Course Not!

We all need to become more generous and give more freely and not just always think in terms of money. I have met so many wonderful people online who have stepped up and given me a hand and have not asked for anything in return.

Take My Friend Sarah Arrow for instance, we met in a blogging community a few years back. Become More Generous

Click Here to Meet Sarah Now.

Sarah helped me get my blog mobile ready and also put together a PDF for me a few weeks back on a post I did about affirmations.

She also volunteered to help me with my opt it.

Crazy Right?

Oh Yeh I was so shocked and amazed that someone as busy as her would actually want to take time to do something so wonderful for me.

You Do Have Enough So Become More Generous

People believe they don’t have enough, enough time, enough money and certainly not enough support!

Yes this is sad but oh so true!

This does cause people to become stuck, but once you turn this thinking around and start thinking you do have everything you need is the moment you will learn how to become more generous and things will start to change.

How generous are you on a day to day basis?

Do you give freely of your time or do you hold back?

When someone asks for help do you jump in and offer a solution or do you just let them figure this out on their own?

Become More Generous Starting Today

I know that you know someone who could use your support, what can you do for them?

Genuinely care and reach out, make the decision and do it!

Become more generous with your time freely, give with your full presence and power whenever this is appropriate.

These wonderful gals have taught me that giving leads to receiving if done consciously, and for this I will be forever grateful!

Become more generous by showing up in the world will demonstrate your love, you will learn how to help others and people will want to do business with you because of your generosity.

One Last Thought For You To Become More Generous With Your Time

When you do become more generous with your time make sure to give all your attention to this person.

Do not multitask.

You see I learned this lesson while I was on a call a few years ago. I was not giving my full attention to this person and he called me out.

Another lesson I will never forget.

When you become more generous think about how your gift is going to change that person’s life. blog-opt-in-3

Chances are that when you become more generous and give with an open heart that this will actually help open your heart.

Yep, today is the best day to start to become more generous and to give just a little bit more.

Enjoy Your Journey!

I would love to hear your experiences of how you can become more generous.

Do you find this experience rewarding?

I look forward to your comments.

As always thanks for visiting my blog!

    Hi Chery,

You are right, we need to give more, the more we give, the more we’ll receive.

Giving is a seed which would lead to harvest, it’s an unbreakable law.

    Thanks for writing this post.

    Cheers

Hello Dan, Oh So True giving is better than receiving because giving starts the receiving process, it is an unbreakable law HUH? Thanks for starting out the conversation, I do appreciate it. Chery :))

  2. says

    Hey Chery,
Indeed, we always think we don’t have enough time nor resources to give freely. From the little we have, we can give freely and this would be counted as sacrifice for us. There is reward in making sacrifices for others.

In addition, the laws of reciprocity, attraction, and sowing and reaping are very glaring in this respect!

Hi Chery, you’ve demonstrated giving by showing your appreciation of Monna and Sarah here. This phrase is so true “Giving is a seed which would lead to harvest, it’s an unbreakable law.”

Even if you are not asked for help, or you are really stuck for time, there are still plenty of things you can do. Praise, encouragement, answering questions posed on Social Media are things anyone can do.

    • says

Hello Sue, Yes I do agree there are so many ways to give HUH? Even putting an encouraging post on Social Media can impact someone’s day Right? Thanks for sharing Sue, I am Happy to have met you my friend.

    Hey Chery,

What a wonderful message and that was so thoughtful of both Monna and Sarah to help you when you needed it. That’s what friends are for right? That’s why I harp so much about building relationships because friends help friends with no ulterior motives in mind. Those who only want something from you will go the other route.

I don’t know Monna or Sarah personally like you do but I have had the pleasure of meeting them both and being part of their blogging journey as well. All I can say is that 1) they are both great ladies and 2) it’s awesome to have such wonderful friends.

Thank you for reminding us of this and I’m sure your roundup post will still be awesome.

Cherry, you have come so far. From being busy with giving yourself, time and sweat to others dreams. Not allowing yourself anytime to really think.

Then, you changed and took control of your destiny. You learned to grow through this lifetime Journey we all must continue to travel.

You perception on this one topic, is priceless. Yes, give and it must be cheerful or it doesn’t work. Transparency is a must with honesty and not excepting anything except gratitude.

What a world this would be. Only when everyone can be unique and reach out to those you know need support.

Walking people through their daily challenges. Has given me more empowerment. I am able to spend more time supporting worthy causes. One Project at at time.

That multitask mask a person’s greed for the dollar. Nothing gain fast will last.

Warning: “Do not wear yourself out to get rich; have the wisdom to show restraint” -Prov. 23:4

You are on the right path Chery. Outstanding!

  9. says

I adore you Chery. What a wonderful post. The idea of giving back has really hit home for me this week with the horrendous wildfires that have devastated Northern California. I watch the amazing response of donations and time given freely as humanity rises in response to these disasters. It makes me question why it takes a disaster to bring this generosity out in people. My hope is it will cause us all to take pause and make an effort to pay it forward on a daily basis.

Awe Tracy! What a Nice thing to say my friend! Thank You so much for your kind words and for sharing this story woth us. It is Amazing how the good in poeple comes out in tragedies HUH> Have a Blessed Evening.. Chery :))

People tell entrepreneurs who give things away for free that they are losing business. I disagree. Why? Because of this principle that you talk about in this post. One of my favorite entrepreneurs is Kimra Luna. This girl gives webinars FREE of charge ALL the time. These webinars are an hour long and have a lot of juicy tidbits. It is because of these things that she gives freely that allow me to build a relationship and trust the stuff that she does sell. I think that is something that needs to be realized by more companies. You are more likely to purchase things when you build a relationship first … and donating time & energy to things that are important to the little people.

  11. says

Giving away your time and energy to help others is the cornerstone of the success mindset. As we help others, we help ourselves… always.

This was an interesting article, Chery, and I’m glad you took the opportunity to give recognition to some outstanding folks in this industry who always make themselves available to others in one way or another.

Happy to see you imitating their good example.

    Hello Ma’am,
When I saw the title “Become more generous by giving ” then I got one person stuck in my mind. That is Bill Gates who is one of my inspirations. And these words are proved by him who gave away lot to charities yet remains as the richest .
So by giving we gonna lost nothing but we gain.
Thank you for sharing inspiring words…

  13. says

    Hi Chery,

First time visiting your blog :)

This is an interesting topic for me. It was within the last several months that I began asking myself the question “Is what I am about to think, say or do coming from how I REALLY feel – or is it coming from a place of lack?”

I started wondering about this because I had to get in touch with what my motivating factors were in regard to my decision making behavior.

I had realized that in order for me to act of my highest truth, I had to get in touch with whether or not I agreed to do something because there was something in it for me, or because I genuinely wanted to give of myself in whatever fashion the situation warranted.

It was quite an enlightening experience of self-awareness. I now realize that while we all have to make a living, it’s exhilarating to give of yourself and want nothing in return because you KNOW you are acting out of a generous heart.

I love a good thought provoking topic, and this is one of them.
    Nice to meet you.

Hello And Welcome to My Blog Dana! I think it is good to spend time working on ourselves, I know I sure needed it! I actually had NO idea who I was nor what I wanted when I first lost my job and hit the online world. But somehow we do get through it HUH?

Thank you so much for sharing my friend, I do hope to see more of you here.. Chery :))

HiChery, what a wonderful post and yes there are many wonderful, helpful people online today that are always willing to help. I am exactly the same, when I can help someone and will do everything in my power to help them even if I have to spend time googling to find the answer. I remember last year some time, this guy asked me to do some re-typing into good English for him as he was not English speaking. He said when it is up and running he would treat me (I never asked for any money) It ended up I spent days helping him with loads of blog posts and pages etc for his blog. Yes you guessed it I have hever heard from him since !! Keep up the good work.

There is something about being generous to others and volunteering my time to help someone in need that brings satisfaction into my life. I absolutely agree with this post that people should learnt to be more generous with their time and be willing to help someone else. When you do this, people should not look for return favors, but they will come sooner or later. The positive energy that you put out into the world will come back to you.

  16. says

    Hey Chery,
Wonderful share and shout-outs to a few awesome people. Giving time, knowledge and helping others with no expectations in return is the best and most rewarding thing, I think. People matter most and giving freely is special and in time it comes back to you. So it’s good karma.. you’re wonderful and thank you for sharing this …

  17. says

Hi Chery, I have just been writing a series of posts on giving and helping others and this post of yours really resonates with me. I truly believe the rewards for giving to others are immense and we can never truly understand how much impact we have on others’ lives when we give something expecting nothing in return. And of course there is always the great benefit of getting something back that you did not expect!

    Enjoy the journey!
