Building A Success Team

What Exactly Is A Success Team?

A success team is a group of like minded people working together toward their current goals. That means no individual within the team is more important than the other.

Building A Success Team

No one acts as the secretary, accountant, or the water boy, there are no menial tasks that only one member handles on a success team.

The beauty of a success team is that all the team members challenge each other, but still run their own online business their own way.

Ultimately you want your success team to grow.

A success team provides you with an honest opinion, this will help you grow. They will tell you when you do something good, what you did poorly and what you did well, and then explain to you how you could have done things better.

I truly enjoy running ideas past other members on my success team, from this you get to see things from another prospective. A success team member may suggest an idea that will help you prosper.

One of the best ways to grow is not just to learn but to teach by sharing your knowledge with others. Who in turn share their idea’s with you.

The Main Focus Of A Success Team

What you are doing with this success team is creating a meeting of the minds with infinite potential. This is meant when folks say two heads are better then one.

The most pivotal movement of history was not just one man who had an idea. This came from decisions made from a success team. The declaration of dependence was not signed by one man. Henry Ford did not achieve success until he befriended Thomas Edison.

In a success team the goals of the group is made up of the goals of the individuals, by working together on their own online business and in turn helping others with theirs.

You are now creating a team with mutual goals which is the success to all. It is like having a board of directors who job is to ensure your success.

Are You Ready To Either Join Or Start Your Own Success Team?

Well, I don’t blame you!

Of course this means choosing the right members which may actually be easier then you think. Success team members need to have similar interests, similar success, similar ambition and a positive mindset.

If you can find this you will have fewer distractions.

Mentor-ship is extremely important for success, those who are willing to teach are valuable assets not to be overlooked. Every success team needs a good coach or a coaching source to learn from.

Coaches help success team members avoid mistakes and pitfalls.

Mindset is truly important, if you have someone on your success team who has a negative attitude this will be very unproductive.

Building a Success Team

If the success team solves a problem, it will be replaced by another with a negative team player.

That is if the problem even gets solved in the first place. Negative people just have this effect on all of us.

Positive people are happier, luckier and less tense then negative people.

Having positive people on your success team who are open minded to finding a solution will be more productive for everyone involved.

Positive people always have options even if they are wrong, they move things, shake things up and reap the rewards from not having all that stress and are happier and pleasant to be around.

A good coach is a fire starter; they light the flame under you to get you going.

They give you value for your online business that you can carry with you forever.

No matter how successful you are you should always want more than you have. A good coach on your success team has been where you are, seen what you see, and experienced many of the same obstacles that you are suffering through.

You are their past and they are reaching out to lead you a helping hand.

By putting together a good success team you are now able to share your experiences and experience the knowledge and tips to shorten your team’s learning curve.

We must be on the same wavelength – 4 of us just put together a group to share ideas and help bootstrap each other – we meet locally once a month with a mid month google hangout – With just 4 of us it’s a nice size – we each get plenty of time to discuss what’s up with our businesses and to get good feedback. Helpful to meet locally too – the face to face helps – because everyone stays very focused. You’re so right that 2 heads are better than one.

To tap into your “infinite potential”, Chery, certainly requires tapping into team building. You’ve given an excellent blueprint for doing just that.

I like the Henry Ford illustration, and of course, while he teamed up with Edison, his ultimate success required that he build a vast “success team” that included financiers, industrialists, manufacturing experts, promoters and the list goes on.

I’ve been trying to slowly build my online success team by delegating more and more responsibility to experts in different areas that I may be able to handle, but not as efficiently and effectively as a team of experts. Your success is truly limited by the size of the team you are (or are not) building.

Team work makes the dream work.. It really is true that you can’t do it alone… some where along the line you need the support of others.. Even the athletes in the Olympics know that somewhere along the line there is a team of experts needed so that they can become who they need to be to get the results. Works in all aspects… So true.

    Hi Chery,

A success team is a great way to get things done! I do belong to a team of gals that meet each week on Google+ We share our goals and problems – we help each other be accountable for what we set out to do.

Plus, we have been doing this for 18 months now, so we are very connected and so comfortable to laugh and have a great time while we are doing it.

It’s sort of a success team, but we call it masterminding. Since we started each one of us has produced a product, an ebook, or whatever goals we set out at the beginning.

    Hi Chery,

Such an inspiring post. I know very well how much easier it is to succeed with a group of people who have the same mindset and not just out for #1.

    Wishing you great success. Monna

As an entrepreneur I have learned I am quite the introvert and tend to take things upon myself to do. Over time I have also learned that having a team is not only a must but a great way to delegate tasks. If you find other teammates that have the skills that you may lack and you have the skills they lack, you all complement each other well and everyone can focus what they are good at. Great article on how to build a solid team :)
