I love how you make “nobody’s perfect” an affirmation Chery, too many people use it as a defence mechanism and a default saying when getting feedback. It’s great to see it used in a positive way.

  2. says

Hi Chery, I am also a firm believer of keeping a positive mental attitude (PMA). I write about the importance in Welcome to the Big Leagues and use the SNL character Stewart Smalley to help illustrate a few key points. He’s famous for #7, being a positive self-talker. Your points are pot on, great advice!

Hello Carmine! I did notice that you shared my post on Twitter then came here and didn’t see a comment which I found strange, so I checked my Spam and sure enough here it is!

This is something we all need to keep an eye on, I have found a few comments missing from a few sites I have visited as well. So My Friends this is yet another great tip, be sure to occasionally check your spam for comments.

Now back to your comment LOL I cannot wait to read what this Stewart Smalley has to say, I Love Positive Self Talk!! Thanks for adding to the conversation here today, I do appreciate you.. Chery :))

    Hi Chery,

There’s one thing about affirmations is that once you start getting into the habit, you’ll not only benefit from your affirmations, but you’ll chase the negative chatting away.

Since I made affirmations like these part of my daily routine, not only I can catch myself if I start a negative chatting in my head, but it’s become smaller and smaller, almost completely gone.

    • says

Hello Sylviane, Affirmations are Great HUH? I have a few on my cork board right beside my desk that I read all the time.Oh Yeh this is also part of my daily routine. Thanks for sharing my friend, I do appreciate you.. Chery :))

  4. says

Every day i try to wake up with a attitude of gratitude. Sure it can be difficult at times, especially when i would rather sleep in then work haha but it is always a good idea to start your day on the right foot.

    • says

Hello Kyle, It is good to get a good jump start on the day HUH? I do would rather stay in bed BUT?? Well you know.. LOL Thanks for adding to the conversation today i do appreciate tit.. Chery :))

  5. says

    Hi Chery,

I have been using affirmations for such a long time that it has been become a habit. When my mind goes one way that is counter-productive, or even negative, I acknowledge it. Then I replace that with a positive affirmation.
Sometimes it takes a while to keep on saying to myself, and out loud, but it has sure helped me in the past and I still use it. Yes, we all have flaws…not perfect. We are growing beings and so is our business.
Affirmations sure help me out when I want to make a positive switch or change. It all starts in our mindset.
    Thanks so much,
    -Donna

  6. says

    Hey Chery,

I love positive affirmations and I make them a part of my daily life as well.

I love what Sylviane said and I know that some people will say that they don’t work. Well they don’t if you don’t believe that they will but if you repeat them enough then the enthusiasm just to me starts to appear and that’s how you’re able to start changing the way you think about things.

Bring more of that positive vibration stuff into your life and the belief will start to rise and the next thing you know you’re waking up, eager to start your day and saying them with such enthusiasm that you’ll start attracting all the right things into your life.

Way to go girl, share what works with your audience and get them excited about this too. I just love your message.

    • says

Hello Adrienne, I do love positive affirmations and have them pasted right where I can see them.. Yeppers when I am feeling down or when something isn’t going the way i had planned, I repeat them over and over and as you have stated the next thing I know I am in a way better place..

Thank you for the awesome comment my friend, it is always such a pleasure to see you here.. Chery :))

  7. says

My favorite affirmation on your list is “I will persist.” This is without a doubt where most people mess up. Few people can stick with their initial decision after the enthusiasm is gone. If you want something big in life you have to hang in there and give yourself time to become successful. Just my thoughts.

    • says

Hello & Welcome to my blog Chuck! I do agree so many people get discouraged way to easily! Crazy Right? I do think it has a lot to do with all the shiny objects out there, we do need to just stick with it and as you have stated give yourself time to become successful.. Love That Thought Of Yours My Friend, Thanks for sharing.. Chery :))

  8. says

    Hey Chery,

These are great affirmations to practice daily. When it comes to mindset I equate that to focus. What you focus on the most tend to grow and it shows up in our daily lives. This is why it’s so important to figure out what type of mindset to have in order to start getting the results we want.

I do have to be honest with you. For me, affirmations don’t work because I feel like I’m lying to myself LOL. But after reading Noah St. John’s book “The Secret Code Of Success”, I started doing something what he called afformations. Basically is turning those affirmations into empowering questions. So instead of saying “I am happy”, you ask yourself, “Why am I so happy?”… When I did this, I automatically started coming up with positive answers. It was like I was selling myself on focusing on something different!

Thanks for the share Chery! I hope you’re having a great week!

    • says

Hello Sherman, Wow it has been a long time since I heard Noah St John’s name, I do agree with his theory and do use this self talk each and everyday. I did write a post on my old blog about this and listen to this?? Noah came an commented on this himself. I wish I would have copied this LOL I was so honored to have him visit and comment on my blog. I wonder if I have this article stored somewhere?

Thanks for the great reminder, I do love both affirmations and afformations.. Chery :))

  9. says

    Hi Chery

Is it a post or a super tonic for mind to turn the defeat into victory, despair into hope and pessimism into optimism.

It is one of the few most inspiration and goading posts I ever read. While reading each point from 1 to 10 and then 11 as bonus I was feeling more and more courage to stand against all odds which off and on I face in my life.

I think how is your mindset is the main thing if someone really wants to do something great in this world. It is easy to desire for things to happen but to really make the things happen one needs irony will and unshakable belief in himself otherwise he will just lynching on lame excuses to deceive himself and all around him.

Thanks a lot for sharing this very motivational post.

    • says

Hello Mi Muba, I am so happy to that this got you going today. I read these affirmations all the time, as a matter of fact I have them written on cards and they sit right here on my desk.

When I am feeling overwhelmed, challenged or just need a boost I pick them up and read through them..

I do agree they can be powerful, Thanks for the Awesome Comment my friend, I do appreciate it.. Chery :))

  10. says

    Hi Chery

These are great affirmations to practice daily and I loved the bonus one and I can really relate to that one. Indeed, if we believe in something, it happens and as you said, life is what we make out of it.

Positive affirmations do work and I have to admit I learned this recently only after I came online and I started to read lots of Personal Development blogs and I started practicing it and believe in them. We succeed, because we think we can.

Thanks Chery for sharing such a wonderful post. Loved and enjoyed it all. Enjoy the rest of your week.

    Be Blessed,

    Neamat

P.S. I will leave a copy of this comment at Kingged

    • says

Hello Neamat, This is also something I have learned since coming online and yes personal development is something that I to have been working on for a few years now.

When I first jumped online I fell for the “Join us at the top level. Plug In and You will become a millionaire in no time at all.. LOL

Nope that didn’t happen, Why? Because I didn’t work on me first. Now I teach everyone to Brand Themselves and with this come Belief in yourself and your business.

This is done with affirming these things to be true.. Love Love Love Your Comment Yes We Succeed Because we think we can..

Thanks for the wonderful comment.. Chery :))

  11. says

The mindset is the beginning of all that we think and do. If we are going to be a success/failure it is in the mindset. I really enjoyed your affirmations, they are a motivation. Recently I stumbled on afformations by John Noah, I like them better, they are powerful when you practice them.
    Thanks for the great teaching.

    • says

Hello Siphosith, I to love John Noah’s idea about afformations but I do stat with my affirmations and then work the questions into them for the belief factor.. Thanks for adding to the conversation today, I do appreciate you.. Chery :))

  12. says

You don’t strike me as someone who ever used to be negative, but in your experience, how long does it take for positive affirmation to really kick in? To get to a point where it is no longer something that takes effort, but naturally results in real, enduring, positive feelings?

p.s. your post makes me think about the Little Engine that Could.

    • says

Good Morning and Welcome to my blog Zach, Hehe I love that Book The Little Engine that Could.. I was working on a image on this a few weeks ago and have forgot about it, so thanks for that.

Now as for me! Yes you are correct I have always been a very positive person, yet when I came on line I had to build up the belief that I could actually do this. You see I had NO experience! I didn’t even know how to open my e-mail. So I have done a lot of training both in marketing and personal development.

As far as how long it takes well I do think everyone is different and it does depend how serious you are as well as how you take action, just like with anything else. If you go in half way you get half the results.. Does that make sense?

Thanks for stopping by and for the comment, I do hope to see more of you here.. Chery :))

  13. says

The affirmations you listed are all great ones. Your bonus affirmation is so important, I think, though. It’s one I believe in a lot and had to change my mindset about in my own life.

  14. says

I can’t count on 2 hands and feet how many times I’ve started daily affirmations and fell off. I think I just need to set a challenge for myself, even if I don’t feeling like affirming anything. I guess believing in the affirmation is the first step? What do you think Chery?

    • says

Hello NT, I truly believe anything is possible my friend. I have learned that working on yourself is the single most important thing you can do and affirmations are a great way to start..

Just make a copy of these and read them a few times a day, maybe if you rewrite them, using your own words and adding some questions will help. Let me know what you think of this my friend?

      Thanks for sharing.. Chery :))

  15. says

I’ve successfully used affirmations to take away negative thinking but I now need to take it a step further and convince myself that I can have more success with my online business. Thank you for your motivating post and for your encouragement I really appreciate it.

  16. says

    “I persist!”

A big challenge for me is taking action and staying the course. I can say all the affirmations in the world and still not get anywhere if I don’t take action and persist. I know YOU are a woman of action, Chery, but there are too many things I would rather be doing than what I know I should. LOL

Along the lines of “I persist”, something I say many times a day is, “Do it Now!”

    • says

Hello Willena, Do It Now!! LOL This is a good one, I do understand exactly what you are saying my friend! You do need to figure out what you want and then go for it, Oh Yeh Action and persistence is needed HUH?

      Thanks for sharing, Chery :))

  17. says

Great message Chery! I don’t use many affirmations, but I do have a couple that are pretty much tattooed into my brain. One in particular that I invoke particularly often when I’m working on a challenging project or up against a deadline – How Bad Do You Want It? Questions are such powerful personal growth tools and by asking myself this regularly if reminds me why I’m doing what I’m doing. Thanks for the inspiration my friend!

    • says

Hello Marty! Love that question my friend and I also have this one written down and taped right to my desk.. Hum I am trying to remember if it was your idea in the first place? Thanks for stopping by tonight and adding to the conversation here my friend, always so nice to see you here.. Chery :))

  18. says

    Hi Chery,

I love positive affirmations. I know for a fact that they work. Our mindset plays so a vital role in all facets of our lives and if we want to strive and be successful in our endeavors we surely need to have a positive and “can do” mindset.

Positive affirmations can place us in that mindset and keep us focused. Thank you for such powerful affirmations.

    • says

Hello Nathaniel, I am having such a great time with this post I just may have to continue on with this subject.. Thank you so much for adding to the conversation, I do appreciate YOU!! Chery :))

  19. says

Mindset is so important in shaping your reality, Chery.

We all walk that path that we first shape in our minds. If you don’t think self-talk and affirmations are worth your attention, it doesn’t really matter. You are still shaped by your thoughts, you just don’t take control of them. You let them take you wherever they will.

When we accept the responsibility for our thoughts and self-talk, we can better define and shape our own destiny. Affirmations are a great way to do this.

Thanks for the many good examples of the types of affirmations that can make a big difference in our mindset, and in our lives.

    • says

Hello David, I do agree my friend! Since I have learned about affirmations I am always adding new ones to my list. Thanks for adding to the conversation today here my friend, I do appreciate it.. Chery :))

  20. says

    Hi Chery,

What an inspiring post. This came at a good time for me. Every now and then we need to remind ourselves of every one of the affirmations that you have listed. Thanks for the kick in the rear today.

    Have a great day.

  21. says

    Hi Chery,
you have provided so much more than just 10 affirmations.
    These are awesome.
For myself I like to soften them by turning them into questions, like “Why do I matter?” Noah St. John has created the term Afformations and explains why questions stop that ‘yeah right’ or other response from our subconsious.

Thank you so much for sharing this!
    Love and Light!
    Yorinda

    • says

Hello Yorinda, I do agree Noah St John has put a nice spin on affirmations, I do use these questions to build that belief. I am going to have to take a look and see if I can’t locate that article I wrote a few years back on this.. Thanks for stopping by my friend and for the wonderful comment and for sharing.. Chery :))

  22. says

    Hi Chery.
I must admit, I have to agree with everything you said above. I really didn’t understand about positive affirmations until I undertook a course. The affirmations you mention ( or very similar) are included in my daily routine which I repeat to myself early each morning and at the end of the day…most times.
They work for me and I didn’t think they would.
Take care. Looking forward to your next post.
    Liz

    • says

Hello Liz, Weird how you say this because when I first heard about affirming things to be true I never believed it either! But after studying and putting everything I learned to use my belief as well as my results started to improve.

It does also have a lot to do with not waiting around for things to happen, you do need to step it up and take massive action! HUH? Thank you so much for the Awesome comment, I do appreciate it.. Chery :))

  23. says

You’re sharing some mighty powerful stuff (as usual) Chery!

It would probably be close to impossible to repeat at least two daily affirmations and surround
yourself with people of the exact same mindset for the next five years and not emerge as a changed individual for the better!

And more than likely, your financial situation and outlook will have permanently changed for
    the better as well!

Thanks for sharing some really critical and incredibly powerful positive mindset food!
