Don’t Over Estimate Yourself
Last week I shared a custom infographic with 8 tips on How To Work Hard Without Burning Out.
I talked about the 1st one Love What You Do and today I would like to talk about #2 Don’t over estimate yourself!
So let’s talk about this statement above in #2!
You’re not superman or superwoman who always has to say Yes Yes to everything! Sometimes it’s okay to say No, no , NO!
I don’t know about you!
But For ME!
Yikes!! I have one hell of a time with this one! Especially when it comes to my family!
When I first jumped online in 2010 I was Real Bad at jumping on-board with everything and anyone who asked me.
I Mean TERRIBLE!
I Was My Own Worst Enemy!
And do you know where this got me?
Well this pretty much deleted all my savings is what it did!
Of course I did learn a few things from this.
Yeppers as I posted on Facebook the other day LESSON LEARNED!
Don’t Over Estimate Yourself, You Cannot Do Everything!
The important thing to learn here is to stop saying yes when you really mean no.
Sometimes we just feel obligated to say “yes”!
But if those reasons are not true to you for caring for your own needs, then you do NEED TO LEARN HOW TO SAY NO!
Saying “no” will and does take practice but if I can do it, I know you can to!
Now there is nothing wrong with aiming high, and trying to be or should I say to be the best you can at anything you undertake but you do have to be realistic!
Most importantly to set realistic goals, ones that you can reasonably accomplish. Don’t underestimate the time that it will take for your other obligations.
There are only so many hours in each day, see we do need to choose more wisely!
We do need to be more realistic and realize that NO we cannot do everything so don’t over estimate yourself!
You Cannot Do Everything
I do know that I for one believe that I can accomplish anything that I put my mind to, but most of the time I end up finding out that I have once again taken on more then I can handle!
Of course there will always be demands for our time, this is why it is so important to have that to-do list handy at all times! It is so easy to get side tracked that you really need to keep this in mind at all times “don’t overestimate yourself”!
You cannot be everything to everyone.
I do recommend that you take a good look at your life, your goals, your daily en devours and only choose to take on the things fit in with your schedule! Pre-planning is the only way to go, so be sure to sit down and weigh all of your options before committing to any new venture!
Try not to overestimate yourself, because after all we are all only human!
As always thanks for visiting my blog!
