The Power Of Attitude Of Gratitude?
First let’s talk about gratitude!
Gratitude is a feeling of thankfulness or appreciation.
I am sure you have heard this statement below before!
“What You Think About Comes About.”
Yikes if this statement is true, why is it that so many people spend their precious time fixated on what they don’t have!
This Is Just Plain CRAZY!
I know I have been guilty of this one in the past, Oh yeh spending time thinking about what I have not yet accomplished!
In this post I want to share the importance of NOT spending our time and energy focusing on the negativity!
Now the thing about gratitude is that you really want to focus on what you do have, not what you don’t have!
Start out by just focusing on one thing that you are grateful for.
When I first started doing this my energy of gratitude increased and I was more at peace with myself!
“Wooo Hooo HAPPY!”
I have learned that one good feeling just brings on more.
What A Great Way To Live!!
The first time I was introduced to this attitude of gratitude way of thinking I just thought of something simple….
“I thought about how was grateful to be alive!”
Yes I Was Grateful For Breath!
It could be something as simple as seeing, now this is a touchy subject for me, you see my Dad has been diagnosed with a degenerating disease in his eyes and he is slowly losing his site.
They say by Christmas he will be 100% blind.
But does he let this get him down?
No My Dad Is Grateful For Everything He Has.
Be Grateful for what you do have and what you can do and not what you can’t!
One thing my dad taught me was where your attention goes, energy will flow.” In other words, the more you focus on what is wrong with my life, the more of the same will attract.
Start focusing on the good that is in your life.
Allow yourself to get into the space of what a good feeling is all about.
A good feeling just increases more good feelings.
Wouldn’t you say so?
If you continue focusing on all the bad things that are going on, Yeppers. I did say bad feelings then you will just feel worse!
Get Out Of The Poor Me Habit And Think Happy Thoughts!
How do you start your day?
Believe it or not this has a huge impact on how your day is going to go.
Do you get up and turn the TV on right away and see all the bad that is going on in the world?
This Is A Terrible Choice!
You need to find something that inspires you, make it something that you like to do.
Myself I get up and get moving. I wrote about this here.
Oh Yeh this is one of the reasons I love the north woods of Wisconsin.
It is so beautiful and peaceful and you see something different everyday.
This morning on my walk I came upon a doe and two of her babies and I love the smell of morning as well.
Have you ever noticed that it smells different in the morning?
Well I have!
Your Attitude Of Gratitude Journal
There is no better way to either start your day, end it or both by putting down your daily list of events that you are grateful for all down on paper.
Putting pen to paper promotes mindfulness!
In A Positive State!
An attitude of gratitude trains your mind to focus on the positive.
Once you open your eyes to that attitude of gratitude things will start to fall into place for you and for your success.
Gratitude Is Contagious
I know for myself that I personally like to be around up beat people, it just makes my day go so much better.
I don’t like complainers, whiners, negative or otherwise unpleasant people.
When you’re grateful you tend to have that contagious positive energy.
Successful People Have An Attitude For Gratitude.
I don’t see how you can think you can be successful if you aren’t happy and thankful for all life has to offer.
Being consistent and regularly acknowledging the things you’re thankful for in your life is the first step to attaining that Attitude Of Gratitude!
