How To Start Planning For Your Financial Future

Start Planning For Your Financial Future

Well here we are the first month to a new year!

So have you set those goals?

Do you have them in writing?

I did take some time last month and set me some goals, then just today I pulled them out.

This was on the 5th, so call me bad, but I had so much catching up to do after the holidays I actually didn’t have time to even think about them.

Start Planning Your Financial Future

How To Start Planning For Your Financial Future

So what I did was grab my list of of goals that I wrote down last month and I took a look at them!

I then wrote down what I realistically was going to accomplish each month!

I then took out my daily planner and broke down the actions that I am going to take each day to help me achieve them!

Come On I know that life happens and there will be days when I am not going to get to everything I have written down.

Right?

But Who Cares!

I am going to cross off each task as I complete them each day as I get them done and what I don’t have crossed off….

Well this will be where I will start the next day.

Let me explain the better.

You have your list Right?

Well if you have something that was not checked off from the previous day, this is where you will start your day.

Get this out of the way and Bingo on to the next task.

    Excellent advice Chery!

And I couldn’t agree more! And I also love
your bite size approach, to successfully reaching
    our goals!

Let’s break them down into more bite size, digestible chunks!

They are definitely easier to accomplish, and that
proven approach, definitely helps reduce stress and overwhelm!

Great advice and thanks for sharing it!

    Hi Chery,

You are a gal after my own heart. Yes I’ve planned my goals in December. You see, I like to have my business year for 11 months. On the 12th month, I reflect back, see what I need to fix and then move ahead with new ideas and changes.

It all starts with writing things down and I’m a stickler for that. Plus being realistic about time. There are so many things I like to do on a daily basis with business, but also love to have time for me . Let’s not forget those things life always throws at us…we need to create time for that too.

All this keeps me sane and not overwhelmed. The core of all is our mindset yes Indeed! Affirmations do work and I use them all the time.

So yes we both are sticklers when it comes to writing out those goals HUH? I know I get a whole lot more done when I have something written down VS winging it LOL

    Hey Chery,

I’ve planned for the first quarter of 2016 which I have never done before, so I feel good about that. Of course we have started the PAC 5% Mastermind group up again and that helps to keep focused and headed for your stated intentions for the week. I love the PAC 5%. It really helps me to talk with others doing the same mindset activities that I am doing.

Have a wonderful New Year in 2016, my friend.

    Hello Chery,

I have written down all my goals. I even wrote out a schedule for this month. Now, all I have to do is stick with it. I was so excited last month because I was able to achieve 2 of my goals. I was able to get a book that I wanted and I earned some money through an affiliate program I was promoting. That sure was an awesome feeling!

So, now I’m on phase 2 of achieving more of my goals. I am going step by step and day by day. Writing them down is a great way to keep me focused on them.

Thanks for sharing this with us!

    Hey Chery,

We all know just how important goal setting is to our business. Without a plan to follow then we could all just be doing busy work not ever knowing if what we’re doing is getting us anywhere.

I like setting goals in small bite size pieces myself. I do much better that way because once you accomplish something then that’s SO motivating to help you want to do more, do better.

Affirmations I think help us stay positive and I say mine every morning before I even start my day. There are a few things I do throughout my day to keep me on a positive road. They work and I really do believe in them.

Thanks for this great advice and anyone who hasn’t been doing this definitely should. They’ll find it so very helpful so that they can achieve their desires and hopefully sooner than later. 😉

Enjoy your week my dear and stay warm.

    Hello Chery,
Its cool having the end in mind before starting out with our cause of actions. To achieve just about anything we must have the goal on site. After all, ‘the target we don’t aim will lead to frustration’. We must have target on site and we must write down our plans.

Financial future plans should begin with having the amount we desire in mind. Then, we begin our plans to GET money by having positive mindset, developing our creative power, and working our health and skill to achieve same!

Happy New Year to Chery! Wishing you the best that this new year will bring!

I did write my goals down but I haven’t looked at them again since I did. I haven’t done a lot of work on some of them, but I’ve at least started on 3 and kept up with 2 at this juncture, so I’ll take that… for now. :-)

    That’s a nice advice Chery…! I love it..

Honestly, I didn’t have any plan yet for this year… I knew it is 15th of the first month.

You know, last I faced with a damn thing of my companies. It was a share holder corruption story thus my office need to be close period of time. I’m not sure how long will it be, but I’m sure it may a few month…

I knew everyone need a plan for life, but I don’t know why I didn’t. Maybe I got a lot of problem during these few years thus I hate planning. LOL. I know, I’m wrong..

Thanks for advice, I’m not going to think a lot about the passed but this..

    Hi Chery,

I know it’s probably a good idea but I’ve never been one for setting goals. I always hated when I was asked come up with goals or financial plans for work or when going for a loan or something. Sure I could come up some BS to make them happy but I could never see the point.

My plan for success has always been to do the best I can at whatever I do. When I had a deli it was to make sure I always gave the best service and had everything that the customer could possibly want. The rest took care of itself.

Not so easy when it comes to making money online. So much is out of your control. I don’t have the money to advertise so marketing has always been difficult. It’s a lot harder to attract business to an online site than it is to a local deli, for example.

Still it is possible and I am slowly getting there. I’m not sure that having set goals would have got me there any sooner, but then I seem to be the odd one out in that line of thinking 😉

Hello Peter, I to never used to set any goals, I was pretty much like you. I just winged it so to say, then I lost my JOB which took me online. Youa re right it is not easy and I really didnt have much direction and without goals I pretty much was lost as to what and where I was to go.

Last year was really the first year I put anything in writing and you know what happened? I had focus! I knew what I wanted and I took aim to get there.. Well I am happy to see that your way is working although I didnt have much luck LOL
