Warm Market VS Cold Market / Who Is Your Ideal Prospect?

Cold Market VS Warm Market / Who Is Your Ideal Prospect?

In the networking marketing industry you should be always on the look out for your ideal prospect, this is someone who is going to be your potential business partner.

And we all get started with our warm market.

family

These are our friends and family members, we reach out and let them know about what we are up to.

Well if your experience is anything like mine, most of them do not understand anything about the network marketing industry, therefore they turn on a deaf ear what we are telling them.

Now, I am very familiar with theses dream stealers, even though my dream is solid. It is very hard because a majority of our friends and family are totally misinformed about the network marketing industry and would rather not listen to anything we have to say.

Let me give you an example here now My mom is very old school, get a job go to work and do what your boss tells you to do, she is very Anti Chery doing anything differently.

Does this sound familiar?

Now Let’s Talk About Our Cold Market, Can These People Be Your Ideal Prospect?

If you don’t know who your cold market is well then let me explain it like this, your cold market is simply a friend who you haven’t met yet!

Warm Market VS Cold Market Who Is Your Ideal Prospect

Before the internet we would approach people from a live standpoint, perhaps attend events or go to your local town meetings ect, this was more of a one on one approach so to say.

Now with the internet we kind of lost that one on one relationship but yet we do have tools to use such as Facebook, Google+, IboToolBox, an auto responders, the list goes on and on.

The use of videos has changed how we can reach out to our cold market, same as using Skype and Google Hangouts, this has changed the game. We can become more personal, we can see the body language, meaning we can look people in the eye.

Now by reaching out and getting to know your cold market you can turn these people into your ideal prospects.

Turn Your Cold Market In To Your Ideal Prospects

So here’s how to turn your cold market into your ideal prospects.

To turn your cold market prospects into warm, first thing is to get them to respond.

How do you do this?

The same way you do with your friends and family all you have to do is to stay in contact with them on a regular and consistent basis.

My suggestion is to just reach out and start calling your cold market, if you do get a phone number then be sure to dial them up and just start building those relationships.

Over time, many of those in your cold market will become your closest friends if you build a strong relationship with them, just treat them like your friends.

With your marketing efforts, if you want to get the best results focus on staying in contact with your cold market consistently and over time you’ll find you have a world full of friends ready to join you in your cause.

The moment you decide to step up and take your business serious you will start to get results. You need to raise your hand and let your cold market know who you are.

Here is all you need to do, locate where your cold market is at, then friend them up.

Now start to build a relationship with them by finding a mutual common interest then just build from there.

Warm Market vs Cold Market Who Is Your Ideal Prospect

Your cold market is special because you can build those relationships with them remember you are looking for people who are looking for you.

Just raise your hand and let your cold market know you are here.

Just start communicating with your cold market more frequently and over time you’ll find you’ll have more success in your online business than you thought possible.

If you can master your cold market then you can master anything.

As always thanks for visiting my blog!

    Hi Chery,

Well this makes total sense to me! Our so called “cold” market can turn into a warm one as we engage with others in this wonderful age of internet marketing. No more knocking on doors, having parties, etc.

With a few clicks, we can engage with others so easily and once we do, we build the KLT factor. Then, we can tell them what we have to offer and it becomes part of your warm market. Only because we are connecting on a friendly level.

Hello Donna, That’s right my friend, like I said your cold market is just someone out there who is just waiting to be your friend hehe. Thanks for starting out the conversation here today, always so nice to see you here.. Chery :))

Thanks for writing such an excellent article Chery!

Yes what you said definitely makes perfect sense!

And even though you get to practice initially with close friends and family members, most of them are unfortunately as you pointed out, they’ve sort of been conditioned to the “get a job’ and just tough it out mentality!

Hey, working for yourself clearly isn’t every bodies thing! Some of us write the checks and others cash them!LOL!

Thanks for sharing such an extremely well written and very informative article!

    Hey Chery,

Being an introvert I use to just hate going up to people in parking lots, grocery stores, malls, etc. when I was in Network Marketing. It was a chore in and of itself. But one thing I learned is to be more open to people in general.

The one thing the internet has over face to face physical marketing is that you can approach people from the comfort of your computer or laptop. And you provided some great tips on approaching people online. It’s more of an indirect approach which I love. People don’t like to be sold to first off, but if you focus on the rapport building then you can turn that stranger into a friend. As Donna mentioned, focus on the KLT factor and once they get comfortable with you then you can present them with what you do.

Thanks Chery for sharing! Have a great weekend!

Good Morning Time Sherman, I agree wholeheartedly, you need to build those relationships before you ever present your opportunity, KLT Factor all the way..

    Hi Chery,

Yes, this does make perfect sense. I think it all is coming full circle. At the beginning of working online, it was all about putting up as many sites as possible without any personal contact and now we are being directed back to making contacts with people in real life and have real conversations.

Hey Chery, kinda love this one!

Meeting someone new each day. That is how my focus is and love learning new things. Cold market is a friend waiting to connect. I love that one!

You have the personality alone with a nurturing ability. That combination makes you remarkable as far as I can feel. Learning with you and from you is a chance most people should experience. Keep us motivated in the right areas!

    Hi, Chery,

Neat share, and I agree. Cold can easily be turned into warm, and warm can be turned into hot, if we are in tune to who it is we serve, what we offer and exactly the best way to seamlessly and naturally share that. It flows naturally, I just love it. :-)

That’s why I like ActiveCampaign so much because it pretty much guarantees that I’m sending the right message to the right person at the right time because they self-select what they receive based on their interests and actions. Wonderful way to build quality relationships fast.

Some pretty neat takeaways, Chery – thanks for sharing this.

    Have an awesome weekend. :-)

    Hi Chery,
Great point you have here, cold market can totally turn into a warm market with more communication.
Most of the time just by being yourself and paying attention to the people who are looking for you.

    Thank you for sharing,
    Have awesome weekend!

Right on, Chery. I don’t even know why we’re told to start with our family and friends when looking for customers or business partners, unless it’s a FYI sort of thing where we’re informing everyone we’re opening up shop. FIRST we need to establish whether they’re looking for what we have to offer. If we try selling to them before we know that, we’re wasting our time and theirs. Even when talking to people in our cold market, we need to build that know, like and trust first before we can expect people to buy from us or join with us.

Hello Willena, So true my friend, I know I don’t like being approached with something from someone who knows nothing about me.. How about YOU? Thanks for adding to the conversation here today, I do appreciate it.. Chery :))

This is a superb lesson for all network marketers, Chery.
I’ve worked with network marketers who tell me they like working their warm market and don’t want to do “cold marketing” on the internet with strangers.
But you make a clear case for the fact that cold marketing can instantly convert into warm marketing by engaging with people through video, Facebook, Google hangouts and so many other methods. The difference between a cold prospect and a warm one can be one simple little video away.

  11. says

Sure Chery, “if you can master your cold market, you can master anything”. I could not agree more with this. Engaging potential clients brings about familiarity and builds trust.

When this becomes the pattern for an online business owner then it becomes easy to convert traffic.

Yes, turning cold market into warm market should be the focus of any that desires to make a difference in the Internet and network marketing world!
I shared this comment in kingged.com as well

    Hi Chery,

You have touched upon the most important points in network marketing. The categorization into warm and cold market is so important and you have explained them effectively.

It is always difficult to building relationships with your cold market, but your tips are so effective and natural.

Thanks for this wonderful post that makes things so easier.

    Have a great day!

Hello Nisha, I actually don’t consider it hard to build relationships with anyone, like I have stated in my post your cold market is just those people whom you haven’t met yet. Just talk to them, you don’t have to sell anything, just get to know them and let them learn more about you.. Always remember, people do business with people they know like and trust!

Thanks for sharing, always so nice to see you here… Chery :))
